During my PhD I tried to understand how cells in an embryo know what to become during development. Now I’m training to become an educator to show young pupils how interesting science is. While I do not recommend them to drink excessively, I highly advocate discussing science in a relaxed atmosphere.

Mario finished his master study from Albert-Ludwigs Universität Freiburg and now currently working as an engineer fabricating medical devices implant. He wants to promote science advances to the community surround him.

Louisa Estadieu is a Postdoc at the livMatS Cluster of Excellence in Freiburg. She is passionate about theories on socio-material transformations for a sustainable future, with a focus on key concepts like trust. She believes that involving society from the beginning is crucial for success.

Michelle Modert is a PhD student in biology, studying leaf unfolding as a bio-inspiration for deployable technical applications. She also enjoys giving biomimetic tours at the Freiburg Botanic Garden, speaks 5 different languages and regularly treats her co-workers to cake.

Ryan works with science centers, libraries, schools and other institutions to develop resources to support kids and adults to tinker with art, science and technology.
Wilhelm Gros

Wilhelm does his PhD in Psychology at the Albert-Ludwigs University of Freiburg.
Furthermore he is a tour guide at the Uniseum and First Aid Instructor.
He likes to study most different fields of knowledge, to combine them and
to share enthusiastically with others what enthuses him.

Aranza is a biologist, extreme foodie and origami lover. Currently doing her PhD in cancer research, she hopes to contribute to make science available and relatable to non-scientific audiences.
